About Shemeka Joseph
Creating a life that is truly yours
Shemeka Joseph is the founder of Creatinddream, a personal development and coaching company. She is a Certified Life Coach through Canada Coach & Mentor Academy / Coach Academy and has completed 90 ICF coach education hours as part of her professional coach education.
Her life's work grew from one question she had been observing for most of her life:
Why do some people genuinely enjoy the lives they live, while others seem trapped in lives that make them unhappy?
Over time, that question became deeply personal.
Where my story began
I was born and raised in Greenwich Farm, Kingston, Jamaica. I am the youngest of ten children, raised by a single mother whose home was always open. It was open not only to her own children, but also to cousins, relatives, and complete strangers who needed somewhere to belong.
Growing up in an environment where survival was often the priority, wanting something better became a natural part of life.
By the time I was sixteen, I was supporting myself and paying my own bills. I worked in bars and took whatever work came my way, including a stint in a call centre, all before turning twenty. At eighteen, I owned my first bar.
Around that same time, I also began what would become a lifelong thread in my story: network marketing. Since then, I have partnered with several network marketing companies. Today, I serve as a Farmasi Influencer.
More than the products themselves, I credit the relationships, personal growth, and sense of community as some of the greatest gifts that industry has given me.
Learning through failure and starting again
In my twenties, I opened a liquor store with my siblings. It ended in disaster. It was one of the greatest failures of my life, and it ultimately became the turning point that led me to Barbados.
There, I had to rebuild from the ground up. For the first time, I was navigating an unfamiliar country without family or lifelong friends nearby.
Barbados introduced me to new parts of myself. I became a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, and a woman learning who she truly was.
A decade later, life called me to begin again.
I immigrated to Canada, remarried, welcomed another child, changed careers, and once again found myself building a new life.
When that second marriage eventually fell apart, I entered one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I felt overwhelmed, so I sought therapy to help me heal. During that time, I began asking myself an important question:
How could I build a life where I could care for myself while helping others do the same?
Finding my way to coaching
That question led me to professional coaching.
As I trained as a coach and experienced coaching myself, I discovered the power of creating a space where people can think deeply, gain clarity, and move forward intentionally.
Coaching gave me another way to do something I had naturally done throughout my life: help people recognize possibilities they often could not yet see in themselves.
While healing, reflecting, and rebuilding my own life, I began noticing patterns that had quietly shaped my journey all along.
I realized that what I believed influenced everything else. My spirituality influenced how I cared for myself mentally and physically. The way I cared for myself shaped the way I built relationships. Those relationships influenced the opportunities I created and, ultimately, the financial life I was able to build.
These were not separate parts of life. They were constantly influencing one another.
The Four Pillars
Those observations became The Four Pillars:
Spirituality
Health
Relationships
Finances
These are the four areas we examine. Health includes mental and physical wellbeing. Spirituality is explored through your own beliefs and worldview; my personal beliefs are not imposed.
The Philosophy: Dream Again → Align → Build the Life That Is Truly Yours.
As life continued to change me, another realization emerged.
Every season had transformed me into a different version of myself. The dreams that once fit me no longer reflected the woman I was becoming.
I realized that growth is never a destination. Every new version of ourselves deserves the opportunity to:
Dream Again.
Align.
Build the Life That Is Truly Yours.
This became my philosophy. It is not a one-time process, but a lifelong posture.
Every season invites a new dream. Every new dream requires fresh alignment. Every alignment calls us to build again.
The Five Rights
Through years of observing my own life, one final pattern became impossible to ignore.
Whenever I had the right idea, at the right time, for the right reason, with the right people, the outcome consistently moved in the direction I hoped. Whenever one or more of those elements was missing, the result often became a lesson rather than the outcome I intended.
Those observations became The Five Rights, my practical framework for intentional decision-making:
The right idea, at the right time, for the right reason, with the right people, equals the right result.
I do not see The Four Pillars, the Philosophy, or The Five Rights as ideas I invented. I see them as patterns life patiently revealed through decades of observation, reflection, failure, growth, and lived experience.
Why Creatinddream
Today, those discoveries come together through Creatinddream.
The name reflects my Jamaican roots, making Creatinddream a reflection of both my culture and my identity.
More importantly, the name reflects what I believe every person is already doing. Every day, through the decisions we make, we are creating a dream.
The question is not whether we are creating one. The question is whether we are intentionally creating the one dream that is truly ours.
The work I do
At the centre of Creatinddream is The Alignment Mentoring Methodology. Its three components work together:
The Four Pillars — what we examine.
Dream Again. Align. Build the Life That Is Truly Yours. — The Philosophy, how we approach the journey.
The Five Rights — the compass we use to navigate decisions.
I am a Certified Life Coach, mentor, speaker, and the author of The Five Rights to Alignment, the first book introducing readers to my framework through inspirational quotes, reflections, and lived experiences.
My book and business officially launch on November 28, 2026, at Creatinddream Presents: The One Dream Experience, a live keynote experience designed to inspire people to intentionally create lives that are truly their own.
The Alignment Mentoring Methodology in practice
The primary one-on-one way to experience this methodology is Alignment Mentoring — a 15-week guided mentoring experience. You reflect, examine, decide, and build; I provide guidance, perspective, and structure.
One-on-one coaching remains a distinct, client-led partnership. Group and team coaching or mentoring, speaking, workshops, books, and The One Dream Experience remain part of the wider Creatinddream ecosystem.
